Stay wild and show your support for orcas and the Blackfish movement with our Galaxy Orca Crop Top! Available from Cocoally in Small, Medium, and Large/XLarge.
Take some time away from the screens and have some good old-fashioned fun with our Cocoally Peacock Playing cards! We're all for smart phone games, but we get nostalgic for the days when games meant personal and physical interaction. Now you can hit your friends' hands in a heated round of slap jack or spit and show your style in one fell swoop!
Ah, fall. The weather, the festivities…the
fashion! Here at Cocoally we can’t wait to see the fall trends roll in
especially in a place as unique as New Orleans.
One of our favorite pieces, our Passion Flower
Blast dress combines the fun and vibrant colors of the New Orleans lifestyle
with the versatility and sustainability of cruelty-free clothing.
The silky, 100 percent cotton piece fits like a
glove to any body type, and its unique color scheme and pattern makes this piece
the statement of your attire. So, don’t overdo it with heavy/dark make-up or
chunky jewelry; let your natural beauty shine!
Wear it this fall season with ankle boots (vegan
of course), a dark pair of tights, and with a lightweight, olive-green military
jacket to create a bold and fearless look – letting people know they are in the
presence of a fashionable animal
Feelin’ the New Orlean’s heat? Throw on the
Passion Flower Blast dress with a denim vest overtop, and a pair of spikey,
black flats. You could even take it the next step further and layer a white
t-shirt on top of the dress to create your own Passion Flower Blast Skirt!
However, still add the jean vest and spikey, black flats to give the outfit
contrast. Take it from us, you’ll be able to rock this one of kind dress
virtually any way you wear it.
Remember, uniqueness is key, and stay
Hey Gallery Burguieres, Cocoally, and Wish Dog
and Friends fans! We can’t wait to announce the newest member to our Ally B.
team, Heidi! Officially starting in the spring, she’ll serve as our first
communications intern; she’ll handle social media, event-planning, marketing and
promotional aspects, blogging, and everything in-between!
Born and raised in Frederick, MD, Heidi is a
current senior at Hood College, a small liberal arts school located in the heart
of her hometown where she’s studying to earn her bachelors in communications
arts with a concentration in public relations. Having already completed two
internship experiences thus far in her career, she’s more than excited to take
on the task of promoting and exciting our audiences about all things Ally
Burguieres! With a serious passion for the arts, a devotion to fashion, and
loyalty to animals, Heidi possesses all the qualities we love and need in an
intern, and we can’t wait to embark on this journey with
“What I enjoy most about working with a business
is not only being able to make myself a part of the company, but immersing
myself in the job enough to make the company a part of me; I love being a part
of a team and representing an image, especially one as spectacular as the Ally
Burguieres chain,” Heidi says.
Eccentric, outgoing, animated, and full of fun --
we can’t wait to host Heidi in a city she’ll not only grown to love, but learn
to thrive in.
Cocoa worked so hard yesterday. He met tons of friends and admirers and fellow vegan dogs! It's time to rest up and play -- perfect excuse for a day-after-VegFest boat ride!
Cocoa is resting up for tomorrow's VegFest!
Places visited in DC so far:
Sticky Fingers Bakery: Excellent!!!! (100% Vegan)
Woodlands Vegan Bistro: Incredible!!!!! (100% Vegan)
Bethesda Bagels: Wonderful. They are not vegan, but — and this is a big step!!! — they now carry Plain and Veggie Tofu Cream Cheese!!!!! A great step forward. Their bagels are AMAZING.
Can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store. Cocoa will be there signing autographs, and we'll have plenty of prints, Cocoally totes, and Wish Dogs for all our veggie friends. Sweet dreams and see you tomorrow! xoxo
I just can't even. The other day, a delightful woman came in the gallery and saw a print of my painting "Ugly Friends" (original now in a private collection). She said she HAD to send it to her mom, as it looked just like the family's two dogs. We told her we could print the image on a Cocoally pillow and she was thrilled. Today, I got this picture in my email, along with a note: "My mom just received her 'Ugly Friends' pillow in the mail and got our dogs to pose with it. She loved it so much, she laughed and cried." Aaaaa!!!!
Giraffes have attacked my bedroom, in a good way! I've been working on a series of large-giraffe paintings, some of which are commissions and some of which will be placed in the gallery to find their forever homes. There's one in particular I'm really excited about, as it will be adopted soon by a wonderful little baby who also happens to be one of Cocoa's good friends. While I don't support zoos, I have always associated giraffes with New Orleans, since the five giraffes at the zoo here can be seen peeking over the fence if you stand on the river side of Audubon Park.
I've been painting furiously, as there are a couple events on the horizon that mean travel and most likely time in front of a sketchbook as opposed to my usual large canvases. First is a trip to the D.C. VegFest!!!! I'll be in the Nation's Capital next week for the festival on Saturday, September 20, at Yards Park from 11-6pm. Anyone close by should come out! I'll have Wish Dogs (and plenty of Wish Friends) and of course vegan-themed tanks, tees, and prints from my clothing line Cocoally. My sisters Evie and Tory will be with me, and we're looking forward to not only networking at the fest but also enjoying the vegan businesses around DC — a new Native Foods at 1150 Connecticut Ave (opens Sept 30th, Evie's bday!) and Sticky Fingers Bakery (one of my all-time favorites).
After that, it's down to Costa Rica!! I'll be visiting the Sloth Sanctuary, taking pictures, and gathering artistic inspiration from the local flora & fauna. In line with my vegan ethics and passion for environmental caretaking, I'm excited to be staying in a local eco-lodge with Gondwana Ecotours ! I've recruited my sister Juliette to come along, which means we'll spend October getting sweaty in the jungle on yoga mats, playing with sloths, eating vegan food, staying up late sketching and watching sunsets, and possibly designing a full-sleeve tattoo based on my art work (to be sported by Juliette). The last one makes me uneasy since it's so permanent. Maybe I can convince her to settle for a custom-designed Cocoally long-sleeve shirt instead.
Here's to sisters, sloths, sunsets, shirts, sustainability, etc!
