I'm so happy :D I finished my Bead Dog sponsored by Trinity School in the Garden District, and got sponsored for ANOTHER one by the LSPCA!! That means I have a new dog to work on all this week, and get to continue being part of this fabulous fundraiser and public art project. Mom and I took a whole bunch of pictures of the swap (trading my completed Bead Dog for a brand new blank one!!). The finished one is getting varnished and is set to be installed early in May.
Today I met a clan of students from Trinity, the Episcopal Church and School that is sponsoring my Bead Dog!!! I was so excited to meet them, and they were so sweet. They said they loved my work! Here is an update, the Bead Dog is almost done... Until further notice I'll be working on it in the studio at 736 Royal! Come by to visit, or in a week or two you can see it at Trinity at 1329 Jackson Avenue in NOLA's Garden District. :)
My "Night and Day in NOLA" Bead Dog got sponsored!! That means I got to pick one up to paint, and it will be on display at Trinity Episcopal School & Church in the Garden District. I'm very honored and excited, especially because the students apparently voted on designs and they chose mine! Nothing like being chosen by a discerning group on the merit of your art alone. I'm putting in my hours to make this the best Bead Dog I can make, as a thank you for their support and sponsorship.
Hi, my name is Ally Burguieres. When I'm done painting I update this blog with new paintings, events, and news!
