Today is the 24th, which means tomorrow and the next day is the Festival of the Arts at Walt Whitman High, in Bethesda, Maryland. If you're in the area you should totally check it out! I wish I could go — there is some great talent, and it is always fun to see artists' styles when they're still emerging. In HS most artists are still figuring things out, and at exhibits like this you can catch a glimpse of skills and sensibilities as they develop. Much of the work is for sale, and proceeds go to the Arts programs at the school. And if this year is anything like previous years, there will be plenty to be impressed by!

My mama and my sister Tory will be there with some of my work in the Alumni Room. You should totally visit her! She's a hoot. Tell her I say "hi" and "thank you" for taking care of my dog, Chloe.

My art has traveled (and settled) in some wonderful places in the world, for which I am very grateful. So what's the latest locale? I am thrilled to share that my butterflies are now flying free in the incredible country of Cameroon.

Jen and Shaang will be married there this summer, and I had the honor of contributing the image for their wedding invitations. Jen took the image and chose the font and layout of the final invitation, which I absolutely LOVE. I've been invited to the wedding, and am desperately hoping to go.

I have yet to meet Shaang, but Jen is simply wonderful, and I am so so happy for them both. Congrats you two!!
